Clarion wrestlers topple Bloomsburg, 22-18

(Bloomsburg, Pa.): Clarion won six of ten matches, including #5 James Fleming’s (Jr. West Mifflin) big win at 157-pounds and heavyweight Quintas McCorkle’s (Sr. Alexandria, Va.) final win giving the Golden Eagles a 22-18 upset win over Bloomsburg on Friday night in NCAA Division I Wrestling.

Blackbirds Hold Off Bryant, 75-70

Brooklyn, N.Y. - The LIU Brooklyn men's basketball team survived a scare, holding tough down the stretch to fend off Bryant 75-70 in a tense contest at the Wellness Center. The Blackbirds prevailed despite a pair of off nights from their top two leading scorers and being outrebounded by a 39-33 margin.

La Salle Scores Road Win At Duquesne, 71-68

PITTSBURGH – La Salle rallied from a nine-point second half deficit and earned a gritty 71-68 Atlantic 10 road victory at Duquesne on Saturday night at the Palumbo Center. The Explorers (16-6 overall) improved to 5-2 in the A-10 and are tied for first in the league with St. Bonaventure and Massachusetts.
